2018 Hugo Award Winners
This past weekend, WorldCon 76 took place, during which the winners of this year’s Hugo Awards were announced.
You may remember that I was able to read and offer predictions for two of the categories this year: Best Short Story and Best Novelette.
In fact, I guessed correctly for Best Novelette!
Below are the winners for each of the main written categories. You can check out the full list of winners here.
Best Short Story
“Welcome to your Authentic Indian Experience™,” by Rebecca Roanhorse (Apex, August 2017).
Best Novelette
“The Secret Life of Bots,” by Suzanne Palmer (Clarkesworld, September 2017).
Best Novella
All Systems Red, by Martha Wells (Tor.com Publishing).
Best Novel
The Stone Sky, by N.K. Jemisin (Orbit).
If you’re looking for new sci-fi reading material, these stories won’t disappoint. And I can personally attest that “The Secret Life of Bots” is a great story!
Happy Reading!
