So I haven’t posted on this here blog in quite a long time. More than a year actually! And I can’t really say why that is.
But in the spirit of staying connected through this pandemic, and inspiration from my bestie, who has started her own blog, and John Krasinki’s new venture, now’s a good a time as any to recommit to blogging. On this blog I mainly focus on life, writing, and other things like that. Over at The Sci-Fi Novel, I blog about my journey through the best, most classic science fiction novels.
My goal is to post something on this blog every day, even if it’s just a short snippet of something positive. These are intense times and we all need to pull together to get through them. Front line workers are out there ever day putting themselves at risk. The least I can do is do my part to stay home, stop the spread of the virus and spread a little joy instead.
So today’s positivity comes in the form of a quote, one that has stayed with me since I heard it as a teenager:
“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.”
In these times of isolation and quaratine, get on the phone, talk to your friends and family, have a laugh, or watch a comedy special on Netflix. Laughter always connects us to others.
And that’s a fact.
